How to Get Ready for Back to School?

Getting back to school days is undoubtedly the busiest and craziest time of the year, for you and your family. It may seem a little overwhelming, but you can tackle it with a bit of planning and organization. Here you can find my personally verified tips and lists that works for me. I'm more than happy to share it with you so that you too can have almost hassle-free back to school season. Feel free to tailor it according to your family needs.

Lay Out a Master Plan for Back to School Season

Plan to stock up all the required school supplies at least a week ahead. Make a list of everything to be bought and things to be done. From wrapping and labeling of books to fitting of uniforms, just make sure you haven't left out any thing.

For school supplies shopping, keep a tab on the ongoing offers and deals on leading  shopping sites. You may find slashed prices online for the same stuff at your local store. Do all your shopping before its too late for shipping or delivery.

Set Up a Back-to-School Routine

Admit it, routine works much better than just any other random planning. Set up a back-to-school routine and keep it running before the school re-opening day.
  • Unpack backpacks, take away lunch boxes, water bottles and snack boxes if any.
  • Wash, Dry and keep them ready for next day. If possible, fill it before you go to bed. I used to fill the water bottle and snack box too. Biscuits, nuts and other dry fruits comes handy.
  • Take out the school uniforms, matching pair of socks, hankies and other school gears for the next day.
  • Check if  the homework is completed.
  • Go to bed at school day's bed time.
  • In the morning, make sure the kids don't miss breakfast, lunch box, water bottle and snacks.
  • Assist kids if needed, as they too may find it a little overwhelming to get back to school days after holidays.
That way, every body can get enough breathing space in the busy mornings.
